State of Minnesota v. DEO

Isanti County District Court

Charges:

  1. Drugs – 5th Degree Possession: DEO was charged with possessing methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance, which is a felony offense.
  1. Introducing Contraband into Jail: DEO was found with methamphetamine in his possession while being booked into the Isanti County Jail, leading to a gross misdemeanor charge.
  1. Domestic Assault: DEO was accused of domestic assault, a misdemeanor, for allegedly inflicting bodily harm on a household member during a physical altercation.

Result:  Charges Dismissed

Defendant DEO faced multiple charges which began with a domestic dispute reported in October of 2024, where DEO allegedly assaulted the victim, leading to his arrest . During the arrest, a meth pipe was found on him, and further contraband was discovered at the jail.

The case was ultimately dismissed as further proceedings were deemed not in the interest of justice.  This case exemplifies Criminal Defense Attorney Mark D. Kelly’s efforts in the pursuit of justice, resulting in a favorable outcome for the Client.
